Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide support for ActiveMQ Artemis?
Currently, Tomitribe only provides support for ActiveMQ Classic.
How our customers use ActiveMQ Classic?
We’ve seen a range of architectural uses from simple active/failover, to more complex setups with networks of brokers, virtual destinations with selector caching, and custom plugins. We also have customers running ActiveMQ embedded in their own products, and run a wide range of producers/consumers including standard JMS in Java EE / Jakarta EE, Spring, STOMP, and XML/HTTP.
What is the most common Active MQ issues & how we help them?
The most common problems we see are with the persistence store, which is often misunderstood, issues with producers and consumers, and duplicate message delivery. We also assist with performance tuning, configuration, security and we can also develop (or advise you on developing) custom functionality for ActiveMQ. In addition to the regular tools that come with ActiveMQ, we also have our own command-line tools to assist with troubleshooting, which are continually evolving.
How are cores counted?
We consider the total number of cores—whether physical or virtual—across all instances of TomEE, Tomcat, and ActiveMQ when determining support coverage. This means every core running our binaries needs to be included under your support subscription.
Our approach ensures comprehensive support for your entire infrastructure, providing you with the necessary resources and expertise to maintain optimal performance and security for all your Tomitribe-supported applications.
